Pure Art
As you can see this is a top of the class painting that is just one of a kind. The background really brings out the orange in the fruit and flowers. The shading used in this piece of art is just great. It is a very wonderful painting and one of the best around.

The Painting Page
This beautiful painting really portrays what art is really about in my opinion. The various shades of orange and the background are top of the class. You can tell the artist was very calm when painting this because of the shades he used and the size of the oranges he chose. All in all this is a great painting and looks great with the different shades.

This is a very petite picture of a pair of fruit. The painter uses different shades of orange and maroon to really make the fruit look real. I also find the background to be very good unique as well, it is shaded very nicely and makes the fruit stand out.

JV team played Community school of Davidson. They won by 3 points. It was a close game to the
very end. It was very exciting and the team gave it their best effort pulling out the victory like always.

The Pretty Painting
Today's pretty painting is a beautiful piece of art that portrays a very scenic location that is unbelievably peaceful. Once I saw this painting I knew it was special.
As you can see this is an image of a small island with gorgeous mountains in the background with the sun hiding behind the peak. This is a very soothing picture that makes me relax and shows a lot in just a little painting.

Grace Academy Sports Update
It's a great time of year for Grace Academy athletics. The Varsity Basketball team won their game last week vs Comenius with a score of 72-37. They played well and have a game this week and so does the Junior Varsity Boys Basketball team. Both teams are playing well and are looking forward to finishing the season on a good note. With winter sports ending that means spring sports are beginning! Girls Soccer, Baseball, Tennis, and Golf teams are getting ready to start up their season. Come out and support your Grace spring sports this year and show your Lion pride, Rawwrrr! Go Lions!

We chose this painting because it shows what appears to be good weather and it is in a beachy area. Groundhogs Day just occurred and we are going to have an early spring. This piece of art hopefully cheers people up for the upcoming spring and makes look forward for the weather to come.

Events Around Grace....
Today is Thursday the 31st. Tonight is the Scavenge Hunt from 9-11. The Juniors And Seniors are all meeting here around 9 ish. I think this scavenger hunt will be lots of fun.
Today also is the first day that students are turning in there science fair. The Science Fair is February 5th.
Today around 8:45 there was a fire drill. The Drill was a Success!

Grace Academy Sports
The Grace Academy Basketball team played Kennedy Charter. The JV team lost but fought hard. The Varsity was up in the 3rd quarter but lost the match in the end. The Grace team might have lost but they fought hard.
Spring Sports are coming up. There is golf, track, tennis and baseball. Make sure you sign up for tennis especially we need a tennis team!!!!

This week we interviewed one of the newer teachers at Grace Mrs Bick she teaches science and biology
Q: Have you always wanted to become a teacher?
A: Yes
Q: What made you choose Grace over other schools?
A: My daughter goes here and I like the type of school it was.
Q: What is your favorite thing about Grace?
A: I like the students well most of them haha just kidding I like the structure of the classes and I like that there is no silly lunch time stuff lunch is good but I like how you can focus for 1 hour I also like the university model and I like the fact that it is a christian school.

A: I like to do Zumba and I like walking, I also like to garden and work out

A: I love to sing

Grace Academy vs Grace Christian Update
Last week Grace played Grace Christian! The Junior Varsity won in overtime. It could have gone both ways but in the end Grace Academy pulled it out. The Varsity team how ever won by a ton of points. They won by at least 40 points!! Today the basketball team is playing at Kennedy Charter. Best of luck to them, and hope there are a lot of Grace fans cheering!! Visit our website at graceacademy

Grace Academy Sports
Grace Academy sports have been going great this year. The varsity team in basketball has been doing great!! The Soccer team that went for NACA won the tournament! One thing that has not been doing well is the tennis team. The girls had a tennis team almost every year. The guys on the other hand, pretty much never had a tennis team. About 5 to 6 people sign up for the team every year. That is not enough to run a tennis team. We have many great tennis players but none of them play. If we got every single tennis player to play we would have a chance to win the State Championships! Hopefully this year we can have a tennis team
. You can be of any level and remember to have fun!

JD: I wanted to be a teacher cause, I wanted to teach students how to understand Christianity and how to defend it and I chose Grace because they allow me to do that

Upcoming Grace Events!
The events around Grace Academy within the next month are: A Scavenger Hunt happening after Common Ground. Common Ground is a small organized youth group that meet every Thursday at 7:00. The scavenger hunt will be be from 9-11 pm. You have most likely seen signs around the school about the scavenger hunt. Hope to see everyone there!
